Sistra is Canadian visual artist and designer Jamie Lawson. The Watcher is his first full-length release.

Drawing from varied musical universes, The Watcher is a collection of strange, atmospheric, and haunted songs. Dense, dark washes of sound occlude a prismatic and surprisingly sweet melancholy. Like misremembered tv themes and psych rock interludes coloured-over with otherworldly electronic signals.

Occasionally dissolving into a disoriented mist; occasionally rising to a clamorous rejoicing, these mysterious pieces invite the listener on a lush, phantasmic journey.
